      1. This year the 3 on 3 tournament for the Fat Hill Fest will be in Mitchell Dodsons honor. The tournament will be open to 3rd-12th grade. The entry fee for each team is $30 (4 people max). The t-shirt design contest is open to all CGHS students. The shirts must include the following: Mitch’s jersey number 24, the words “Mitchell Dodson Memorial, and the words “Fat Hill Fest 2015” If you want to form a team, please contact Sean Reed.

      2. Mrs. Bialeschki still has Track apparel for sale in her office.  She has mostly smalls & mediums in hoodies, long-sleeves and t-shirts.  See her to purchase yours today.  Also, she will be ordering more apparel in larger sizes on Wednesday.  If you would like a larger size item, bring her the money by Wednesday to get it ordered.  Hoodies $25 (s-XL) 2X and larger $30 Long Sleeves $15 T-shirts $10. CGB lanyards are available for $3.00 in the high school office.

      3. There are several scholarships due in early April.  Seniors - please check the due dates and get them in on time!

      4. Seniors planning on attending Richland in the fall, have you:

      filled out an application

      completed your FAFSA

      filled out the scholarship application

      asked Mrs. Bialeschki to send a transcript

      made an appointment with a counselor for placement testing and classes.  If you are stuck somewhere in the middle of this list of haven’t started yet, you need to see Mrs. Bialeschki!  Course sign up for fall semester begins April 6th.

        1.  Todays lunch choices are Chicken Strips or Cheeseburger.


        2.   If you have money to add to your lunch account, please get it into the office in the morning.  Keep your lunch balances positive.  There is no charging for lunches or snacks.


        3.   Spring pictures are scheduled for April 8th.  You must have your form and payment ready at that time, or your picture will not be taken.  These are optional pictures with different backgrounds to choose from.  Forms are available in the office.


        4. CGB lanyards are for sale in the High School office for $3.00 each.  See Mrs. Henricks for details.

        5.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 7, from Spring Break.  


        6.  MS Cheerleading sign ups to tryout are in the MS office till Wed after school. There is a parent note to be signed and returned to school if you decide to go out.

        MS Cheer practices will be April 13 (Elem) , 15(Elem)-16(MS), from 4:30-5:30. Tryouts are Fri, April 17th from 3:30 in the Elem.

         Congratulations to our 7th & 8th grade girls volleyball teams.  

        The 7th grade brought home the regional & sectional championship trophy and played in the state finals. 

        The 8th grade brought home the regional championship trophy.


         Congratulations to our 2015 Scholastic bowl team for being 

        this year's Conference Champions.

        CERRO GORDO SCHOOLS RECYCLING PROGRAM 

        Making a STEP towards a GREENer world    

                  We will be collecting: Plastic bottles,  Scrap paper,  Newspapers,  Magazines, & Cans

        Bring items from home.  Recycling will continue all year!

        Deposit your recyclables in the marked totes located near the football field. 

        They are sitting next to the dumpsters at the back of the HS parking lot, behind the band room. 

        These will be picked up every Wednesday morning.
