    1. Seniors- Please start bringing in a baby picture and a quote you would like in the yearbook. DUE NEXT WEEK

    2. This year the 3 on 3 tournament for the fat hill fest will be in Mitchell Dodsons honor. The tournament will be open to 3-12th grade. The entry fee for each team is $30 (4 people max). The t-shirt design contest is open to all CGHS students to participate. The shirts must include the following: Mitch’s jersey number- 24, the words “Mitchell Dodson Memorial, and the words “Fat Hill Fest 2015” If you want to form a team, please contact Sean Reed.

    3. Any senior who still needs help applying for RCC needs to see Mrs. Bialeschki

    4. Seniors: You should be checking the Scholarship page on the High School Website daily. Three pages of American Legion scholarships were posted this morning. Print them out and see what ones you are eligible for today. See Mrs.Bialeschki if you have any questions.

    5. Softball and Baseball Players: Practice begins on Monday, March 2nd. We do not have school that day so your physicals and concussion forms need to be turned into the office by this Friday. See Kristin if you are unsure what you need to be able to practice. Softball players need to get practice pants from coach rose if you don’t yet have them.

    6. SADD members: If you need poster materials, see Mrs. Bialeschki. Our safe driving campaign has begun.

    7. Track girls are reminded that money for equipment bags is due no later than March 4th.

    8. The ACT is approaching quickly, Juniors, have you visited the ACT website to get test taking tips and see practice questions? You can even access a full-length test. It’s not too late. Go to www.act.org or see Mrs. Bialeschki for help.

    9. Scholastic bowlers- the bus for our make up meet at Arcola Monday leaves at 4:45.

      1.  Lunch choices today are Pizza or Chef Salad.

      2.   Please make sure that you have a positive lunch balance.  There will be no charging for lunch or snacks.  You may bring money into the office to add to your accounts in the mornings.

      3. Yearbook orders are due TODAY.  If you need an order form, you can pick one up in the office and get it turned in.  This will be your only chance to get one, there will not be extras ordered this year.


      4.  Hallway lockers need to have padlocks on them.  Detentions will be given to those who don't lock their lockers!


      5. Our Star Students for this week are:

                     6th grade: Mackenzie McMillen, William Fikan         

      7th grade:  Cassie Luttrell

                     8th grade:  Wesley Zigler, Jacob Hayes

      You may come to the office for your prize after school today.


      6. Today, we are hosting the second quarter incentive luncheon in the middle school gym.  Afterwards, if you have qualified for the first semester incentive, you will be leaving to go bowling for the afternoon.


      7. Youth league baseball/softball signups are due today.

      CERRO GORDO SCHOOLS RECYCLING PROGRAM 

      Making a STEP towards a GREENer world    

                We will be collecting: Plastic bottles,  Scrap paper,  Newspapers,  Magazines, & Cans

      Bring items from home.  Recycling will continue all year!

      Deposit your recyclables in the marked totes located near the football field. 

      They are sitting next to the dumpsters at the back of the HS parking lot, behind the band room. 

      These will be picked up every Wednesday morning.
