 Kindergarten registration for any child who is eligible for the 2014-2015 school year.
To be eligible for kindergarten next fall the child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2014.
Parents will need to bring a certified copy of the child's birth certificate and a list of immunizations with them to the registration.
Please notify the grade school office at 763-2551 ext 300 to make arrangements.
It is very important for students to be registered in the spring as this is the time we decide how many classes will be needed for the fall.

     Villa Grove Softball game will be played at VG on 4/22/14 without JV innings. 
     Villa Grove Baseball game will be played as a DH here at CG on 4/28/14. The Baseball JV will play a 2-5 inning game at Villa Grove on 4/28/14. 

1.     PBL weightlifiting is May 17th.  Cost is $20. See Mr. Arseneau today if you are interested.

2.     Anyone interested in performing in the Big Music Thing on April 25thshould get their ideas in to Mrs. Gilpin.  You will have some time to rehearse that night, but she wants to at least know who has interest in performing: you may dance, tumble, sing, or play instruments.

3.     Guest forms for Prom are due May 2.  Please get this done so we are not faxing at the last minute.

4.     You may still sign up for Post Prom.  The cost is $15 .  You will not receive a t shirt.

5.     Any student who would like to sign up for your Aloha Day t shirt.  Signup sheet is in the office.  They must be ordered and paid for by April 25.  NO EXEMPTIONS

6. The library is closed today & tomorrow for testing.

7.  Pom Poms sign up sheet is in the office.

8. Jazz choir is tomorrow morning @7:30.

9. Would the following students see Mrs. Grohmann today or tomorrow: Makenzie Aubert, Molly Lawler, Shannon Witts, Maddy Lawler, Stephanie Shook, Curtis Shay, and Kylie Farison.

10. The library is closed today and tomorrow all day due to testing.

11. The north stairway is closed all day today and tomorrow. If your locker is upstairs, you will not be allowed to use it. Get your stuff right after announcements.

12. Skyla Guidish see Mrs. Sawlaw today.

13. Seniors: there will be 2 final scholarships applications going up on the website later today.  The Nathan Gentry Memorial & the CGEA Scholarship.  Look for them later this afternoon.




1. Today's lunch choices are roasted chicken or Meatball Sub.


2.   Keep your lunch balances positive.  There is no charging for lunches or snacks.


3. Please remember that all middle school students are to remain in either the front or back entry way until the 7:50 bell rings.  You may not be at your lockers until then.  If you are receiving help from a teacher, you may go to that classroom before the bell.


4.  Club volleyball will be having pictures on WEDNESDAY during practice.  Please wear your uniform to practice and bring money and your picture form.

5. Lollipops will be sold before and after school in Mr. Navratil's room! Stop by and try a few!

6. Bugsy Malone rehearsal for main cast is tonight from 5-7. There are many small parts left for the musical if you are interested, please see Mrs. Grohmann. The Support cast's first rehearsal is this Friday, April 25th, from 5-7.  We still need non-singing, small roll extras for Bugsy!

7. Summer school information is in the office for anyone who needs it.  The early bird registration deadline is May 16th.

8. The library is closed today and tomorrow due to HS testing.  No students allowed for returns or checkouts.




THOUGHT OF THE DAY:  Be visible. Get out there and work. Do whatever is necessary to get the job done.




Making a STEP towards a GREENer world    

          We will be collecting: Plastic bottles,  Scrap paper,  Newspapers,  Magazines, & Cans

Bring items from home.  Recycling will continue all year!

Deposit your recyclables in the marked totes located near the football field. 

They are sitting next to the dumpsters at the back of the HS parking lot, behind the band room. 

These will be picked up every Wednesday morning.
