Our theme this year is

Throughout the year we will be emphasizing how important it is to take pride in yourself and to always do your best.  In order to help each and everyone of our students reach their potential, we are asking for your help in emphasizing the importance of doing your best to your child.

Everyone is accountable and needs to take PRIDE in what they do!

To be able to accomplish this we feel that it will take a TEAM  effort of the students, parents, and teachers.

CERRO GORDO SCHOOLS RECYCLING PROGRAM

         We will be collecting:         

     Plastic bottles      Scrap paper      Newspapers      Magazines     Cans

Bring items from home.

Recycling will continue all year!

Deposit your recyclables in the marked totes located near the football field. They are sitting next to the dumpsters at the back of the HS parking lot, behind the band room. Those will be picked up every Wednesday morning.

There will again be receptacles located in the buildings.

 EXPECTATIONS

Students are expected to:

• Bring planner to class everyday.
• Write down every assignment in the planner.
• Take planner home each night & return it each day.
• Bring all supplies to class.
• ASK for help when needed.
• Turn homework in on time.
• Use work time wisely.
• Be truthful.
• Be respectful to peers and adults.
• Show pride in our school & community.

Teachers are expected to:

• Conduct a classroom conducive to learning.

• Do the best to reach each student’s learning abilities.

• Be available for students to get help when requested.

• Ensure that the students know the assignment via:

  • Displaying assignments in classroom each day.

  • Checking assignment planners.

  • Update homework hotline everyday by 3:30 pm.

• Communicate with parents on a regular basis.

  • Highlighting incomplete work with orange in planner.

• Set an example of respectful and appropriate behavior.

• Show pride in our school and community.

• Be aware of and involved in school activities.
• Check the planner and completion of homework everyday.
• Communicate concerns with appropriate teacher first.
• Check the homework hotline.
• Return surveys.
• Read the newsletter.
• Support the rules and discipline of the school.
• Attend conferences with teachers.
