If you want to find higher level books on a lower level interest try going to http://www.arbookfind.com/ and doing an advance search.

You can choose the lower level for the interest and then put in theAR reading level and it will give you the AR books that fit your needs.

There are NO guarantees on us having the books, or us having the tests.

the HOPE WELTY Library!

Hope Welty Public Library is pleased to announce we are now AR (Accelerated Reader) friendly!

Inside of our library we share in common 1, 473 books with Cerro Gordo School District. Each of those AR books will have an ORANGE sticker dot labeled AR. Inside of the book (usually by the book pocket) will be the LEVEL and POINTS each book is equivalent to. We have many sections in our library and will be pleased to help you and your child find anything he/she needs or wants.

At the Circulation Desk, we have a laptop computer with the AR list/level/points and location of the books. This laptop computer is for our Patrons to use. Please feel free to use this as a tool to help locate the books you’re wanting. If ever you need help, please do not hesitate to ask for help! You do not have to use the laptop, that’s what we are here for at Hope Welty Public Library. It’s simply just another option to find what you’re looking for.

HELPFUL HINTS

1. Know what level your child is expected to be reading at according to his/her teacher.

2. Look for the Orange Sticker Dots labeled ‘AR’. Open up the book to see the reading level and the points the book is worth.

3. Use the Patron Laptop if you want to see the different varieties available in a list form.
